We walked in off the beach and only ate in the restaurant, but we thought the staff were very nice and the food was well priced for koh phagnan. This is a pleasant mid-range option for Haad Chao Phao for those who want to be on the beach. The staff here are known for their friendliness and efficiency.

Accommodation

There are 28 rooms available for rent at Phangan Cabana Resort. All rooms have air-con, en-suite hot water shower and cable TV. There is a choice of 4 different room types:

Standard cottage (type A) - 1 double bed or 2 single beds. 18 sq metres
Superior cottage (type B) - Bigger cottage with 1 double bed or 2 single beds. 20 sq metres
Superior cottage (type C) - Big cottage with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. 24 sq metres
Deluxe room / VIP room - has more living space and better interior design in a modern building. Has separate dining area with seaviews. 2 king beds. 96 sq metres

Some of the cottages are in a Thai style and others are based on a Mediterranean style, hence the notion this is a 'cabana' resort. The cheaper bungalows are a row of thatched bungalows.

All rooms have free wifi. The staff are happy to clean on request. You can also ask for new bedsheets and towels during your stay.

Resort facilities

Phangan Cabana Resort has a beachfront restaurant that serves a wide selection of Thai and Western dishes. There is a breakfast buffet that consists of fruit, cereals, egg, bacon etc. The restaurant also does a range of juices and shakes as well as cold beers, spirits and wine. For those in Koh Phangan for yoga and life transformation there are vegetarian options on the menu. The restaurant is an open structure. Seating is both inside and out.

Next to the restaurant is a small swimming pool for guest use. The pool has sea views.

There is wifi throughout the resort. There are safety deposit boxes at reception to store valuables. Staff provide a laundry service. There is a place renting motorbikes just over the road.

Child Policy & Minimum Stay Requirement

If no extra bedding is required children aged up to 10 years old can stay for free. During low / high season the minimum stay for the Full moon Party is 4 nights; for peak season it is 5 nights. At Christmas and New Year guests have to stay 7 nights. The resort charges all guests for a New Year's Eve dinner whether they attend or not.
