Thongsala Accommodation |
Centre Point Hotel
Close to the pier and easy to find if you bother to look at a map. Lots of local shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Wifi was terrible, no access in the room. Michael K, Canada - Agoda
good location, walkable to/from the port (about 5-10mins). staff were friendly & helpful, helped me get a tuktuk to the full moon party (100baht each way) and advised us on any questions about the area we had. room was very big - think we'd been upgraded. Jonathan M, UK - Agoda
We have visited twice and both times we were the only ones there. It seems deserted. Had potential but empty. Lojack, UK - Tripadvisor

Centre Point Hotel is located in the centre of Thongsala. It consists of the upper floor of a small shopping mall. Hotel style rooms are offered at a reasonable price. Downstairs there is a coffee shop and bakery and various other businesses. And of course nearby is a plethora of shops, bars and restaurants.
If you are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable for 1 night in Thongsala then Centre Point Hotel is an option worth looking at.
Phangan Centre Pont has 30 rooms for rent. They are all decent hotel style rooms that feature cable TV and hot water bathroom. There is a choice of twin room, double room or room with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. If the latter is for 3 people the price is slightly higher than if the room is just for 2 people.
The rooms are all above a small shopping centre that has a bakery and cafe, internet cafe and a few smaller shops. The mall has an open forecourt that guests can use. There is also some outdoor furniture in the corridor for guest use.
There isn't free wifi in the rooms but it is available in the cafe below. On the ground floor is a reception where you check in and out and also access a public computer. While the rooms are in a hotel style the minimal staff and lack of facilities is not hotel style.
As mentioned above, there are no facilities for guest use at Phangan Centre Point Hotel. They offer air-con rooms in the centre of Thongsala, and that is about it. The rooms are air-con and have en-suite hot water showers. Food, drink, spa services, taxi etc. guests have to source in Thongsala.
The good news is that the shopping mall is very quiet. The hotel is designed for short-stay guests, probably needing to stay in Thongsala for one night to catch an early morning ferry. There is also the option of monthly rental (9,000 Thai Baht / $260). This is cheap for an air-con room. Those who like to rent a bike and base themselves in Thongsala might favour this option.
