Nantakarn Bungalows
We been there only 3 days, but it was nice and peaceful. Beautiful view. Good food..Klemen O, Thailand - Agoda
For the price we paid, we got a nice basic room with a beautiful View. The owner is also very helpful and really kind. Ariana A, Germany - Agoda
The bungalows are basic with no hot water, but who needs it when it is nice and warm anyway.. The place has its own small beach with almost no people, so it is perfect to relax .Amelia_Starlight, India - Tripadvisor
The room is basic, but a great price. Very tasty food Mike Augur, Tripadvisor

Nantakarn Bungalows is an 'old skool' bungalow resort located at a nice beach spot at the northern end of Hin Kong Beach. It is a very quiet spot with little to no passing beach traffic. It is one of the best beachfront resorts in Hin Kong.
There is a collection of traditional wooden bungalows. They are basic and functional. If you remember Koh Phangan in the 1980s and 1990s you will remember these type of bungalows.
In 2016 Nantakarn Bungalows rebranded their bungalows using words such as 'suite' and 'exclusive' rather than the previous 'standard' and 'fan'. The accommodation is being upgraded along with the prices.
There is also a beachfront restaurant. Expect a traditional informal and friendly atmosphere if you stay here. The family who own and work in the resort are very happy to help and make guests feel welcome. They are also open to negotiation over room price for longer stays.
There are 10 bungalows for rent at Nantakarn Bungalows. Some are classified as 'beachfront' and some are behind and in a garden setting. None of the bungalows are very far from the beach.
Some of the bungaows have white walls and others have wooden walls. Inside all the bungalows have a fan, a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with sit down toilet and cold water shower. Some bungalows have glass windows and so no mosquito net, others have just basic wooden shutters and mosquito nets. This is the traditional basic style of bungalow favoured by beach hippies happy to chill in a hammock with a book rather than lounge around a resort pool with a cocktail.
Nantakarn Bungalows have a reception building on the beach. Here you will find the restaurant. They serve the standard Thai dishes such as phad Thai and green curry as well as Western food items such as burgers and fries. The food is cooked to order and reasonably cheap. They also have a TV and DVD player for guest entertainment.
At the reception you can get clean sheets and towels, buy water and cigarettes, organise tickets and bike rental and hand over your laundry. The staff are friendly and speak some English.
There is free wifi at the reception as well as in the bungalows.
